February 2025 Fundraising Update
Current Fundraising Data

Currently our figures stand at £31,238.75 raised for the Museum Appeal. This is an incredible number and means we are over half way towards our Social Media campaign goal of £50,000. Our overall aim is to reach £400,000, with the Social Media campaign making up a fraction of this sum. We plan to gain the remaining £350,000 from applications to grants, charitable trusts, and livery companies. If you have any information regarding these, please do let us know.
The majority of this figure stems from individual giving, donated via our online campaign on CAF. This can be accessed across the website via our ‘DONATE‘ buttons, as well as through links pinned on all our social media pages.
We have had a variety of donations throughout the campaign, and, no matter the amount, we are exceptionally grateful to all of you who have already donated.
As a brief overview, so far we have had one donation of £2,000, one donation of £1,500 nine donations of £1,000, five of £500, and thirty-five amounting to between £100-£300 each. We will be keeping all donors anonymous at this time, but as the campaign progresses we would love to personally highlight our substantial donors. If you are one of these, and wish to be included amongst these highlights, please do get in contact with us.
At present, donations of £1,000+ receive an automatic invitation to the Museum Re-Opening, currently planned for May 2026. As things progress, further gifts shall be looked into in order to best thank you for your generosity, but we will contact you in due course.
𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣 𝙃𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨: Jordan Wylie MBE Fundraiser

29th May 2005 marks 20 years since we lost LCpl Alan ‘Bracks’ Brackenbury. As such, Jordan Wylie MBE is fundraising for a ‘Remembrance Zone’ in the newly refurbished museum, to recognised and commemorate all the serving soldiers of the regiment who have died since 1945. This will be an interactive screen with a fully inclusive list of all those killed in action, whilst training on exercise, and who died on duty.
Our hope is that this display will be adaptable and editable based on information friends and family are able to provide to us, perhaps upon a visit to the museum. We want to be able to create a permanent installation within the new museum to appropriately memorialise and remember our fallen comrades, something that was unfortunately lacking in the previous museum.
Jordan is aiming to raise £4,000 to cover the costs of creating this Remembrance Zone, with all proceeds going to the museum appeal. To support Jordan and this amazing fundraiser, you can visit his page here.
We are thankful to Jordan Wylie and everyone who has donated so far in support of the creation of our Remembrance Zone. If you would like any further information regarding our plans for this, or have information/photos of friends or family who passed whilst in service, please do get in contact with us. We would love to have more personalised memorial slides created for our interactive display.
Royal Support for the Museum Appeal
The end of August 2024 brought some exciting news for the Museum. Colonel-in-Chief of The King’s Royal Hussars HRH, The Princess Royal has released the following letter (pictured below), voicing her support for the Museum Appeal! Her Royal Highness has held the position of Colonel-in-Chief since 1969, and we are incredibly honoured to have her continued support, not just towards the Regiment, but to us as a Museum too.
We hope that, with her backing, you will be inspired to continue to support the Museum Appeal however you are able to. If you have an idea for a fundraising event, or want more information please do get in contact with us:

RACE Weekend 2024

RACE 2024 raised £6757, which has generously been donated to the Museum Appeal. Further support via organising and setting up the weekend has also been greatly appreciated. We hope you had a lovely time, and it was great to see so many of you show up, despite the wet weather.
Birthday Fundraiser

The Online Birthday Fundraiser contributed £455.76! Facebook has a great, integrated fundraiser option for your birthday, making it incredibly easy to raise money for a registered charity of your choice. If you wish to run a fundraiser such of this yourself, please do get in touch with the Museum so we can highlight you!
