HALLOWEEN HALF-TERM CRAFTS DROP-IN
Friday 30th October
Join us throughout the day for a craft drop-in session. This half-term we will be making medals, inspired by the fascinating array we have in our collection.
Discover all the different kinds of medals a soldier could be awarded, and use what you have learn to design your own that you can take home.
No pre-booking required.
Entry is £5 for adults, £3 for children 6-18, and under 5s go free.
BALACLAVA TALK SERIES: AN EVENING WITH GENERAL SIR RICHARD SHIRREFF KCB CBE
Thursday 12th November 2026 – The King’s Royal Hussars Museum, Winchester
We are delighted to welcome you to the inaugural event in our Balaclava Series of talks, featuring General Sir Richard Shirreff, former Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe at NATO.
Join us for a fascinating and thought-provoking evening as General Sir Richard explores “The Need to Change Our Strategy: Trump, Putin, Russia, Ukraine, and NATO”, offering his insights into the changing international security landscape and the challenges facing the Western alliance.
The talk will take place in The McDonald Gallery, Peninsula Barracks, Winchester, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, with doors opening at 6:00pm.
Your ticket also includes an opportunity to explore The King’s Royal Hussars Museum, which will be open to guests from 5:45pm.
Tickets: £18 per person, including a welcoming glass of Crémant, soft drinks, and light refreshments.
