Description
King’s Royal Hussars Regimental Christmas Card depicting Officers of the 14th (King’s Hussars) around 1889 by J. Mathews dated 1889. The painting was presented to the Regimental Museum in 1996 in memory of Captain Arthur John Cecil Stanton, 14th/20th King’s Hussars, by his family. Captain Stanton was Killed in Action on 29 January 1944 while attached to 2/9th Australian Infantry Battalion.

The design inside has the King’s Royal Hussars cap badge and the message:
‘With Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year’
