10th and 11th Dragoons

In 1751 Cobham’s Dragoons and Lord Mark Kerr’s Dragoons were retitled the 10th Dragoons and the 11th Dragoons.

During much of the 18th century, the Dragoon regiments carried out security duties, escorting prisoners and valuables, putting down riots and preventing smuggling.
