The 14th Hussars celebrated the 72nd anniversary of the Battle of Ramnuggur with old comrades.
The 14th Hussars left Tidworth for Cologne in November 1920 after celebrating the 72nd anniversary of the Battle of Ramnuggur in the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess. Troop Sergeant Major John Stratford, 14th Light Dragoons, aged 91, who had fought at Ramnuggur, was present at the celebration, as was Mrs Summerill, who was born in the Regiment in 1834 and had been with it as a girl during the Sikh War and the Indian Mutiny.
