‘Charge of HM 14th Light Dragoons at the Battle of Ramnuggur’, 22 November 1848′ by Henry Martens published by Rudolph Ackermann.
The original watercolour shows the initial charge of the 14th Light Dragoons at the battle of Ramnagar in 1848 during the Second Anglo-Sikh War. The 14th showed great gallantry whilst being overwhelmingly outnumbered by the enemy ands during the battle their Colonel, William Havelock, was killed.
