The regiment operated in East Tyrone as part of Operation BANNER from December 2002 to June 2003.
Regimental HQ, B and D Squadrons were based in Dungannon. A Squadron was based in Aughnacloy and Clogher. C Squadron provided the Province Reserve in South Armagh. On New Year’s Eve the regiment mounted an operation in Dungannon to deter a terrorist threat to the town.
