On their second operational tour in Iraq, the regiment were based in Maysan province and Basra Palace.
The regiment were responsible for a number of areas on Operation TELIC 10 from May to October 2007. C Squadron were equipped with Bulldog armoured vehicles in Maysan province. D Squadron were mounted in Warrior armoured fighting vehicles in the Basra Palace area, and saw plenty of action including an ambush of their convoy by an explosive device. The regiment had various roles included patrolling the border with Iran to stop the smuggling of arms and ammunition into Iraq. They also provided protection support to convoys.
